Hello!

My name is Layne. I have 8 years of professional experience in the fashion industry across leading American brands, most recently as a Knitwear Designer at Coach, where I managed Runway, Special Projects, and Commercial sweaters. Throughout the years I have developed highly crafted product at small scales and multi-thousand unit production runs. 

My design process starts with research; images, vintage, and yarns. From there, I start to develop fabrics with an emphasis on authenticity. I love the development process, especially communicating closely with mills and knitters. I value exploration as well as efficiency, and developing relationships with the people I work with. 

In my personal life, I enjoy fiber arts as a hobby, on top of reading, writing, and Pilates. My favorite place is anywhere next to my three legged cat, Tiny.
